Substance abuse, depression, suicide, and child abuse are rampant in the bush of Alaska. Our team from BHBC in Rockford, Michigan has been going up to Port Alsworth for five summers working at Tanalian Bible Camp where we offer them relief from isolation, fun, healing, and hope as we bring the love and message of Jesus. Last year we added a b-ball camp in another village, Illiamna.The children loved it. The team is planning on working at the camps July17-August10,2009.
Thanks for the prayers. Kathleen is not able to make the trip this time because of medical issues. We miss her, but know she is making the right call and look forward to her helping next year. Here is the a video log for today.
