Campers Head Out on Trail Camp

Today campers, counselors, and a few work crew members left for trail camp. They will hike about five miles up to Lake Kontrashabuna and camp there a couple nights. This should be a great time for counselors and campers to spend quality time together and enjoy God's beautiful creation. Please pray for safety and that there would be many opportunities to for campers and counselors to connect.

  1. Thought about you guys out on the trail and having fun with the campers - and, of course, praying for those moments when God moves in ways we would never have expected. It's Monday now and praying that as you say good byes that you are able to stay connected with the campers and not have their hearts shut down at the very end. I am proud of each and every one of you on the team - there are SO, SO many jobs that are done behind the scenes that keep the camp running and I am very proud of you all who are quietly doing those jobs as well - you are as important to the spiritual development to those campers as the volunteers who are acting as counselors!

  2. Sounds like a great week for the TBC campers, counselors, and staff!
Kevin & Kylie Shuneson, Jeff & Kyler Dunn are on their way right now! Praying for smooth flight connections and enjoyable layovers! (Just heard from Kevin in Chicago - minor flight issues @ the end of a 3 hour layover...- their gate switched at the last minute - after a mile run thru the airport - the plane left early - they will now be taking a direct flight to Anchorage but their luggage did not. They will arrive in Anchorage about 40 min. before the luggage.)
They plan to meet up with the team in Port Alsworth on Tuesday & enjoy some time hearing about the week @ TBC. I believe the plan is for all of them to head to Iliamna later in the week and prepare for b-ball camp for some team members and departure home for others.
